Looking back, it’s clear that change has always been part of my DNA, even before I realized it.
At 13, I was selling aromas to shoe stores. At 14, I began teaching English to beginners, and not long after, mentoring others in math. By the time I reached university, I was diving deep into the world of Chemical Engineering. At the time, each step felt like a separate chapter. But now, I see them more like ingredients in a much larger recipe: each experience adding its spice, shaping the professional (and person) I’ve become.
Change wasn’t just something I learned to manage; it was something I lived. I’ve moved houses 16 times, and instead of resisting those transitions, I found myself energized by them. I learned how to start over, how to adapt quickly, and how to listen deeply. I was selected for an expatriate assignment in the United States, which included job rotations, which I worked every 18 months in a completely different role. It was thrilling, humbling, and profoundly educational. Every shift challenged me to learn fast, let go of comfort zones, and connect across cultures and contexts.
But the real turning point came when I tried to lead change and not just experience it. That’s when I realized most people don’t embrace change the way I do. Many fear it, avoid it, or struggle through it. And to be honest, so have I. There were moments when I felt lost, disoriented, and deeply vulnerable in the face of transitions that stretched me. But it was in those moments (where empathy met experience) that I found my calling: helping others navigate change with clarity, courage, and structure.
Today, I see every twist in my story as part of a greater mission: to guide leaders and organizations through transformation; not just with strategy, but with humanity. Because sustainable change doesn’t come from plans alone. It comes from people. And it begins when we stop resisting the unknown and start learning how to walk through it together.
At Tone Up Business Consulting, we support leaders and organizations in making confident, people-centered decisions during periods of transformation. The truth is, we all need a framework or structure to navigate change with confidence. That’s why I use my proven SPEECH methodology: a practical, strategic approach to leading change that empowers leaders to foster trust, adapt with clarity, and drive sustainable impact.
